Job Summary:


Responsible for product oversight for the bank's Canadian local (RBC) and MUFG-owned product/services portfolio spanning; payments, receipts, information reporting, and pooling/liquidity.

Team Leadership for Client Delivery for JCB, and GCIB Canadian-based clients, with additional support for risk metrics and governance as directed by CAN & TBA Risk and Compliance Partners.


Primary Accountabilities:

Product Management

  • Oversee MUFG's Canada Transaction Banking Product set for Payables, Receivables, Digital Channels, and Liquidity based on the business objectives, and related risk and regulatory requirements and activities. Products include ones delivered via 3rd parties (Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Product Suite) and MUFGoffered products such as Pooling, Wires, Deposits, GPH, GCMS+
  • Product Liaison complementing Head of Transaction Banking Sales in the US, and Operations, for all aspects of the partnership with Royal Bank of Canada
  • Manage the Product & Service lifecycle for Transaction Banking product set that will be delivered to both Global Corporate Investment Bank (GCIB) and Japanese Corporate Investment Bank (JCIB) clients.
  • Ensure alignment of product management activities between local teams, TB Product and TBD
  • Collaborate with Frontline business groups, TB Sales in the US, TB Product (US and Canada), TB Service (Canada) CAN Operations, Risk, Compliance & Legal for to ensure alignment of policies or procedures that are specific to the delivery of the Canadian TB Products in the branch and work with Regional and Global policy teams to establish review priorities and assess review findings
  • Periodic support and/or participation in updates for Transaction Banking Division in Tokyo related to strategic product initiatives, for payables and receivables, and ancillary products
  • Proper fee schedule management, and exception pricing process direction and oversight
  • Leverage solutions across multiple markets to improve time to market, customer experience and manage delivery costs
Risk & Compliance

  • Maintain the Canada Transaction Banking product suite to adjust to the regulatory environment, customer needs, and bank pricing / profitability guidelines.
  • Engage in initiatives including those to ensure local regulatory expectations are met and requirements align with Head Office and/or TBA policies as required.
  • Manage and execute investment and noninvestment projects that deliver on strategic objectives such as; Business Case and BRD development, UAT execution, new product approval process, as it relates to the role Product Management plays within a process.
Team Leadership

  • Functional management responsibility for client delivery personnel responsible for daytoday servicing and Implementation; with official reporting lines through CAN Operations
  • Coaching and providing feedback to client delivery team
  • Developing reporting team to be effective in their current roles
Client Delivery Oversight & Escalation

  • Provide escalation for client delivery team to facilitate prompt response to questions, enquiries or issues in or to provide "best in class" service.
  • Effective coordination across Transaction Banking product, sales, servicing, and implementation functions to develop and streamline MUFG products for JCB and GCIB customers in Canada
  • Coordinate and oversee Global product implementations for CCB & JCB clients

Technical Skills:


  • Proficiency in MS Office Products including Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal oral and written communication skills, and matrix management skills
  • Understanding of banking rules, regulatory and compliance policies / procedures

Experience Required:


  • 710 years of technical, and management experience within the cash management space
  • Strong strategic and project planning with an execution track record

Education & Training:


  • B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent experience; MBA preferred
