The primary function of the Clerk, Cash Office is to accurately balance all of Lowe's Canada transactions and receipts. This position requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week.
The incumbent will be required to work according to a schedule determined by the sales, customer, and business needs, but may be changed by store management based on the needs of the store.
Your role:
- Ensure security over all funds
- Process and file paperwork as directed by supervisor
- Greet and acknowledge all customers in a friendly, professional manner and provide quick, responsive customer service
- Complete all other duties as assigned
The qualifications we are looking for:
- At least 6 months of experience using a computer (including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information)
- At least 6 months of experience using a handheld device (e.g., mobile phone, LRT gun, PalmPilot, tablet, iPod) to enter, access, and output information
- Diploma in Accounting, Retail Management, or a related field, or an equivalent degree
- At least 1 year of experience identifying and selling products based on customers' needs (including credit cards, installations, addon sales, protection plans, and explaining warranties, product features, and benefits)
- 1 to 2 years of bookkeeping and cashhandling experience
