About the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Senior Director, Clinical Networks, Integrated Acute & Episodic Care and working closely with the Senior Medical Director, the Manager, Planning, Development, and System Performance, is a member of the Integrated Acute & Episodic Care Network.

This position enables and supports the development of strategic initiatives that support excellence in care delivery, improvement in health outcomes, achievement of standards of care, and goals established by Nova Scotia Health and the Department of Health and Wellness.


The Manager ensures continuous improvement to advance a vision of innovation and academic excellence within the provision of care and is responsible for the development, maintenance and monitoring of quality management and safety programs, and compliance with relevant standards and accreditation requirements.

The Manager facilitates and champions a learning and research environment that aligns with the current and proposed future state of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.


Working with the Integrated Acute & Episodic Care Network and other Clinical Networks, the Manager will support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, goals, and objectives to support and improve the delivery of health care services across the continuum.


About You:


  • Bachelor's degree in a healthrelated discipline
  • Eligible for registration with relevant health discipline/college or association
  • Certified Health Executive designation is an asset
  • Minimum of 57 years working experience and responsibilities in a senior leadership or management position
  • Demonstrates high degree of independent decisionmaking, selfdirection, motivation, change management knowledge and team building/leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to critically analyze evidencebased practices to inform strategy development and organizational planning
  • Proven project management experience
  • Strategic planning and systems thinking
  • Previous leadership/management experiences an asset.
  • Experience in planning, coordinating, delivery and evaluation of health care service initiatives
  • Experience in program and service development, implementation and evaluation required
  • Experience in financial planning
  • Experience within a health related environment preferred
  • Experience in a medicine, emergency, or critical care setting preferred
  • Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data and monitor quality and performance indicators and benchmarks
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships and partnerships with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong working memory
  • Possesses a sound knowledge of management and a working knowledge of information systems
  • Cultural competence
  • Possession of a valid driver's license

Hours:


  • Permanent, Full Time (100%) Position; 75 hours biweekly
  • Some travel may be required.

Compensation and Incentives:

$ $60.03 hourly
