Utilization Manager is a high-level position that facilitates the learning required to become a more senior member of the Business Support Team through building relationships with leaders in the firm and exposure to higher level firm inner workings.
The goal of the Manager is to understand the team inside and out, take on more advanced/ higher level analytics, hold high level relationships, and take on projects to guide the team forward.
As a Utilization Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Take a lead in high level relationships. Lead resourcing updates with Service Line Leads, calls with assurance partners, as well as chairing some scheduling meetings
- Coach and build the skills of more junior resourcing colleagues
- Work closely with the firm's manager group to understand the skills of colleagues in the offices, ensure even utilization, and resolve conflicts
- Daily scheduling and resolving scheduling conflicts with partners and engagement leads
- Meaningful analysis of weekly hours, forecasting, and head count
- Assess backlog of work, projecting, and planning contingencies for too little or to much work
- Support newly integrated firms, working with the team to onboard them to our processes

Here's a few more boxes we're also hoping you can tick:
- University degree (ideally in business or commerce program)
- 3+ years of experience in scheduling
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint & Teams)
- Organized, eye for detail, quick study, curiosity to learn, high integrity in work quality, excellence in service, ability to teach, team player
- Experience in a professional services firm desirable
