IT Support Hardware Technician - Montréal, Canada - Keywords Studios

The organization employs more than 8,000 people, including over 200 IT staff globally.Main Responsibilities
- Onsite hardware and office setup/takedown;
- Preparation of equipment for production projects and support services;
- Preparation of equipment for shipments to remote workers;
- Handle onsite reboots/replacements/cabling for equipement maintained in dedicated PC farms;
- Manage, take charge of and be responsible for the resolution of hardware IT problems;
- Troubleshoot user issues on computers, laptops, consoles, mobile devices;
- Inventory management;
- This role sometimes requires physical work to prepare desk layout for project setups and to build the environment used for PC farms.
Requirements:
- Able to follow the security and confidentiality measures and policies established by the company, as well as to ensure that the other members of the team do the same;
- Ability to communicate orally and written in English, with basic communication skills in French;
- Excellent problem solving skills;
- Strong ability to selfmotivate, reliable, and able to work alone or in a team;
- Capable of working in a highpace and evolving environment;
- Patient, professional, dynamic with a positive attitude;
- Serious and responsible;
- Knowledge of the components of a computer as well as the most common game consoles;
- Possessing a DEP in computer support or any other related field of study is an advantage;
- Work experience in the video game industry or customer service;
- In good physical condition, must be able to lift up to 50lbs (23 kg) for task such as moving office furniture/desks/PCs/servers/racks;
- Working knowledge of computer assembly and troubleshooting;
Work Schedule
This is for a 6 month contract with possibility of renewal, on day shift with an expectation of 40h per week, 7:00 am to 3:30 PM or 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, working in the office, at the 'Sun Life' and 'Nordelec' buildings in Montreal.
- The technician must also be available and ready for changes in schedule and coverage at our other Montreal studios or data centers;
- Available to work overtime as needed to fulfill role requirements. This may include extended shifts and occasional weekend hours.

- Schedules 5x 8h (but days of the week may be modified to include weekends);
- Starting salary of $18/h. Overtime paid at 1.5x rate after 40h worked per week.
