Description
1. Responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all equipment, including but not limited to installations, dismantling and reassembling- Respond to and troubleshoot any equipment issues, taking action to resolve and repair
- Assist with completing preventative and predictive maintenance and overall maintenance and repair of all equipment
- Perform daily housekeeping and cleaning duties of equipment including but not limited to quality inspections
- Maintains and updates records of tasks and inventory of spare parts
- Ability to perform assembly and sub-assembly repairs by following manuals or schematics
- Must advise Lead Hand, Plant Supervisor or Manager and or Quality Manager on equipment repairs or issues
- Ability to respond to emergency maintenance breakdowns and requests
- Proactive in recommending equipment maintenance to ensure malfunctions and downtime are kept to a minimum
- Assist in supervising Contractor repairs and maintenance
- Ensures all Health and Safety protocols are followed when completing assessments and repairs
Experience:
- 433A or 442A certification preferred
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician
- Experience working in food processing and equipment an asset
- Manual dexterity and troubleshooting/problem solving skills
- Must be able to speak, read and communicate in English
- G license and access to a vehicle required
- Ability to work weekends if required
