- Assist in implementing and upholding the current Software Management Process to ensure alignment with global objectives and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of software licensing information to support budgeting, compliance, inventory management, contracts, and cost control efforts.
- Manage documentation related to license keys, license portals, vendor contacts, etc.
- Handle inquiries regarding software usage, license availability, deployment, and external vendor license audits promptly.
- Generate reports displaying license entitlements, installations, usage, renewal status, procurement progress, and identify data discrepancies, while also refining standardized SAM procedures.
- Monitor and reconcile various software licenses and usage, including desktop software, to mitigate compliance risks and optimize costs.
- Address inquiries from software owners, end users, managers, developers, and team members regarding IT Software Asset Management.
- Assist in implementing ServiceNow processes and protocols to automate the collection, storage, and reporting of crucial software data for efficient enterprise-wide management.
- Contribute to crafting and deploying enterprise-wide policies and procedures for software asset management to mitigate compliance risks, improve the program, and streamline processes.
- Maintain consistent high performance and customer satisfaction levels across cross-functional teams.
- Offer assistance during software publisher audits and aid in resolving disputes.
- Provide recommendations for appropriate audit strategies.
- 2+ years of experience in Software Asset Management and licensing
- Proficiency in interpreting software licensing terms and conditions.
- Comprehensive understanding of software publishers' licensing models and rights for software deployment and usage (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, VMware, IBM, etc.).
- Familiarity with the processes of software asset lifecycle management, including planning, acquisition, deployment, monitoring, harvesting, and retirement.
- Knowledge of tools for license management and optimization, software normalization, lifecycle management, and discovery (e.g., ServiceNow, Microsoft SCCM, JAMF).
- Understanding of master software license agreements, End User License Agreements (EULAs), and the renewal process for licenses and support, with expertise in Microsoft licensing models.
- Advanced quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, including proficiency in gathering, organizing, and synthesizing large volumes of information.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills to effectively communicate complex information.
- Capable of working well under pressure with various levels of management.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities or projects effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with compliance responsibilities in software management is beneficial.
- A Bachelor's degree considered advantageous.
- Fluency in both French and English is required.

We are hiring a Software Asset Management Specialist to work with one of our clients based in Montreal.
Mission
The role of the Software Asset Management Analyst entails engaging with different levels of the organization. This includes managing daily license assignments, contributing to compliance and reconciliation efforts to optimize inventory and costs, which are vital functions within our client's operations.
The position involves addressing inquiries from software owners, end users, managers, developers, and team members regarding IT Software Asset Management. Additionally, it necessitates collaborating with all locations across the Americas and the central teams in Paris on software-related matters.
