NewAge is looking for a Demand Planning Manager to join our Demand Planning and Allocation team.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Hire, build, and manage and lead a team of 35 forecasting analysts and coordinators in maintaining and ensuring process of updating, and outputting multiple forecasting models.
  • Design and improve the forecasting process and ecosystem by implementing on the most relevant technologies and forecasting methods.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to create a model of delivering uniform demand information, ensuring alignment for on several levels of detail: orders, demand of individual SKUs, and sales dollars.
  • Create and maintain delivery of data through SOPs and automation to cross functional teams supply chain, logistics, advertising, sales, finance and others if necessary.
  • Develop processes for identifying and integrating key external and macro market trend data into forecasting models.
  • Create a short term to 18 month rolling forecast using historical sales data, macro market indicators, promotional planning information and other decision variables identified.
  • Determine, and document rationales for influencing key variables of the forecasting
  • Develop and own reporting for purpose of measuring forecasting accuracy against KPI targets, as well as compare to determined budgets to be distributed to key stakeholders.
  • Spearhead rootcause analysis for forecasting deltas, identifying the key conditions change or incorrect assumptions for implementing appropriate adjustments for both short
- and long-term projections.

  • Drive the technical roadmap related to demand planning and forecasting with IT and other stakeholders, considering a longterm viewpoint

Role Requirements:


  • 58 years' experience in working analytical environment, in an area directly or closely related to demand planning and forecasting
  • Graduate or master's degree in Business, Statistics, or Computer Science related field
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills are a must
  • Experience with third party demand planning suites is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Python or R (pandas, numpy, scipy) is a strong asset
  • Understanding, and experience working with Holt-Winters based projections is an asset
  • Ability to maintain strong productivity with multiple ongoing projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to maintain high integrity with team members in fast paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, namely ability to present analytical concepts in easy to understand, digestible manner
  • Idea generation, proactively recommending and understanding the changing analytical landscape
