Our company division is looking for driven and numbers savvy student to join our Tax Team in our Markham, Ontario location.
You will have the opportunity to work with Finance Business Partners across all Canadian J&J operating companies and learn about the different aspects of income tax and sales tax as it pertains to our business.

Major Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of corporate income and sales tax returns
- Analyze tax balance sheet accounts and prepare reconciliations
- Make system changes in respect of different sales tax initiatives, including tax rate change, new product introduction, etc.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for quarterend and/or monthend close as required
- Assist with collection of accounting records and preparation of analysis required to respond to audit requests
- Document activities of this role to ensure a smooth transition to the following Coop and reduce cycle time necessary to become effective in this role
- Other adhoc requests for reporting and analysis upon management request
Qualifications:
- Currently in the final two years of a Bachelor degree in a Coop program (preferably majoring in Tax, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration)
- Passionate about working towards a professional accounting designation
- Preferably completed at least one Coop term with relevant experience in Tax/Accounting and/or Finance role
- Experience working in the Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices or Consumer Products industry is an asset
