General Accountabilities


The Creative Content Specialist holds an integral role among the Marketing and Communication team's roster of talented content creators supporting the need for custom, creative print, and digital content.

The Marketing and Communication team at LCS is responsible for sharing the story of LCS through marketing and communications initiatives in support of student recruitment, constituent engagement, and fundraising while nurturing and protecting the school's brand and enhancing its visibility and reputation.

- brand creative assets on tight deadlines.


Specific Accountabilities:


Responsible for supporting the needs of the Marketing and Communications Team, including:

  • Graphic design for print and online materials for marketing, fundraising, and school life (e.g. admissions/fundraising collaterals, annual school/board and trustee presentations, academic and co-curricular program materials, support for Spring and Fall plays, Dance Showcase, art exhibits, literary and arts journal, quick reference guide, school life guide, closing, opening, posters, signage, way-finding, menus, certificates, alumni dinners, special requests/events, etc.)
  • Proofread and edit copy for materials produced inhouse
  • Update content of our website and online publishing infrastructure (external school profiles)
  • Support with the development and production of weekly eNews and social calendars (including prepping graphics for promotions (e.g. alumni weekend, Regatta Day, Open House promos etc.)
  • Adhering to brand standards, using approved typefaces, logos, and protocols defined in LCS's brand style and guidelines.

Marketing Communications to ensure all written and creative assets are planned and created in a timely and professional manner to a consistently excellent standard


Skills & Experience - What You Bring To The Team:

  • Relevant Graphic Design / Visual Communications / Communications qualifications and/or experience and a strong creative portfolio with design/written samples
  • Photography experience
  • Relevant experience with digital best practices and innovation
  • 23 years of education and/or industry experience
  • A love of storytelling with excellent oral, written and visual communication skills
  • Creativity, attention to detail and adaptability
  • Confidence with Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant platforms to design marketing and communications materials, collateral, and other assets.
  • Understanding of typography and composition
  • A high level of technical confidence (with digital technology and eagerness to learn about new technology)
  • Ability to be resourceful and eagerness to learn quickly in a changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a tightknit, crossfunctional team

Salary Range:
$44,750 to $59,000 per annum ($1,865 - $2,458 semi-monthly)
