As a Personal Trainer, a typical day might include the following:

  • Preparing and designing a program for a new client
  • Completing a demonstration session with a prospective client
  • Meeting with a client to complete renewal documentation
  • Meeting with client to review food journal, sleep habits, progress of fitness (measurements etc.)
  • Conducting personal training sessions, ensuring proper technique, counting reps, journaling all relevant data
  • Updating and maintaining accurate records in customer relations management software

To land this role you need to have:

  • Post-secondary education relating to the health and fitness industry is considered an asset
  • Recognized Personal Training Certification
  • Additional certification relating to fitness, health, and nutrition
  • 1+ years of experience in a personal training role is advantageous
  • Experience in the health and fitness industry preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certification (required to have a minimum of Emergency First Aid and CPR certification) required prior to start date and must be maintained throughout employment. CPR is to be renewed annually.
  • All team members must provide a recent Criminal Background Check prior to commencement of training and/or work.
