JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties:


  • Enterprise Integration Lead drives integration program, within Enterprise Applications and
  • Analytics group. BC Hydro is moving towards composable architecture where integration is one of
- the key pillars to success. Enterprise Integration Lead will ensure advancement of integration
- strategy, establishing integration teams, practices, tools and delivery of a number of programs.

  • Integration lead will operationalize refreshed integration strategy and lead the implementation of

  • Responsible for full lifecycle of integration from delivery to operations (following DevOps model
where applicable).- Responsible for engagement with vendors, system integrators and other integration groups,

which form the integration teams.- Assesses opportunities, risks and approaches to continue improving integration strategy,

governance, policy and operating model.- Provides expert-level advice to BC Hydro in regards to features and capabilities of integration

tools and industry practices.- Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand business drivers and promotes pragmatic

approach to using integration as a solution to enhance business experience and increase the
- capacity to innovate.
  • Analyzes complex problems and works with both internal and external sources to develop
solutions.

  • Ensures and maintains the operational integrity of the integration platforms and data exchanges
between various internal and external systems.

  • Responsible for delivering robust integration solutions, aligned with the industry leading
practices. Working in a complex multi-project/operations environment. Collaborating closely with
Project Managers and Business Owners across BC Hydro to identify project and program delivery
dependencies.

  • Manages major dependencies and risks across operations and projects and ensures the
dependencies and risks are understood and coordinated.

Qualifications:


  • A degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 7 years progressive experience in a dynamic business environment including IT
project management leadership positions. Utility experience is preferred.- Strong overall Information Technology background is a must. Computer Programing background

is preferred.- Strong experience in integrating complex processes and data.

  • Strong architecture design skills and problem solving skills.
  • Experience working and managing a variety of integration and API Management platforms.


Experience with MuleSoft and SAP Integration Tools is an asset.- A track record of success working on large, complex technology initiatives.


  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, to proactively engage multiple internal/external
stakeholder groups.- Flexibility as a self-starter with high results orientation and the ability to quickly make decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with varying degrees of complexity.
  • Strong understanding of data and data models, including strict privacy and security
requirements. Ability to manage sensitive information is a must.

  • Strong leadership skills. The ability to influence and motivate others, and provide direction to
achieve successful operations and project delivery. Experience in agile methodologies required.
DevOps experience is a bonus.
