    Description

    With a goal of providing a home for everyone, RainCity's programs sustain relationships, strengthen communities and make change for people experiencing homelessness and mental health, trauma and substance use issues.

    DIVERSITY RainCity Housing serves a diverse group of people and we need a staff group that reflects the diversity.

    Reporting to the Director, Clinical Services (DCS), the ICM Team Leader develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates the clinical program, in alignment with RainCity principles, policies and practices.

    Working with the DCS, they participate in the hiring, dismissal, discipline, development, and performance evaluation of ICM staff.

    The Housing First ICM Team Leader plays a lead role in the program implementation informed by RainCity principles, policies and organization-wide procedures, as well as the program framework; The ICM Team Leader promotes the interests of the client population and the program in the community and ensures the program is appropriately integrated with other systems of care.

    The Housing First ICM Team Leader is part of the RainCity excluded management team and works closely with ICM staff, Program Managers, Building/Facility Operations, designated Human Resources Business Partners and Administrative staff.

    General hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm; in after hours on call rotation. Schedule must be flexible to meet the needs of the program.

    Must have clear driving record and Class 5 Drivers License (Learners and New drivers licenses are not sufficient) and use of a reliable personal vehicle is required Pursuant to the Provincial Health Officer's Order, the incumbent of this position is required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

    We will only consider applicants who are fully vaccinated, or who have received an exemption from the Provincial Health Office.

    Maple Ridge ICM - Intensive case management plays a vital role in the continuum of services and supports for people with serious mental illness and substance use issues in BC.

    The ICM Team assists clients by helping them to identify and achieve personalized recovery goals and by assisting in the coordination of support services (e.g. mental health, criminal justice, family, and addictions services). The ICM team also provides housing opportunities for clients using a 'housing first' scattered site approach. Clients are offered immediate access to rent supplements so they have the opportunity to live in the same kinds of permanent independent apartments that are typically available to people without mental illness, and the rent supplements are provided without
    A Bachelor's level degree in healthcare, health services administration or a related field
    2 years of this experience should include supervising or managing programs, including experience in budgeting, program planning, policy development, and labour relations
    Active registration with a regulatory college under the Health Professions Act (HPA)
    Class 5 driver's license
    Practices for populations with complex needs related to mental health issues, substance abuse, and homelessness
    Housing continuum, including market, subsidized and supported systems, as well as program models for special needs populations
    C. health care and social services system
    Understand, interpret, explain and apply municipal, provincial, and federal policy, law, regulation and court decisions governing RainCity Housing's community housing program;
    Consult effectively with managers to develop solutions to complex organizational and people management issues;
    Exercise sound, expert independent judgment within policy guidelines;
    Knowledge of Indigenous community and health resources.
    Create and construct effective relationships with the neighbourhood to ensure the project is maximally integrated into the community.
    Knowledge of the housing continuum, including market, subsidized and supported housing systems, including different program models.

    Demonstrates understanding of oppression and marginalization, specifically as related to women (trans and cis), sex workers, and Indigenous people and people living with a mental health and/or substance use issues.
