What Are We About?:

Experience success at Fleming, where we provide a unique and innovative learning environment for our students.

We take pride in offering students real world learning, available only through the recent, related work experiences that faculty bring.

As a Contract Faculty member you will play a key role by promoting academic excellence, developing an effective learning environment, and designing, teaching, revising and updating curriculum.

Your previous working experiences will provide a broad range of practical knowledge to enhance the student learning experience.

Contract Faculty may teach in teams or independently and develop/deliver curriculum in a variety of ways including face-to-face (lectures, seminars, labs) and online.

We are currently recruiting contract faculty to teach in our Plumbing Apprenticeship and Mechanical Techniques - Plumbing Programs.

The Fleming College Plumbing programs provide students with a variety of trade-specific skills, introducing them to installing, maintaining and repairing piping systems in residential, commercial and industrial settings, to enhance opportunities for employment.

In addition, these programs teach students about tools and piping methods, drain-waste-vent piping systems, plumbing systems, workplace safety, rigging and hoisting, trade calculations and documentation and welding.

Our apprenticeship program follows Ministry approved curriculum and content.

For more information, please see the Professor Definition and the Guidelines for Professional Practice - Faculty.

Your experience is varied and includes the installation and servicing of residential/commercial plumbing fixtures and appliances, as well as industrial experience.

In addition, you are required to have a strong understanding of drinking water supply and treatment systems.

Completion of the Operator of Small Drinking Water Systems course or equivalent and Backflow and Cross Connection certification are considered an asset.
