Job Summary:


The Supervisor of Immigrant Youth Services provides direction and support to staff, volunteers, and practicum students of the Immigrant Youth Services Program.

The Supervisor supports the youth team lead, the Youth Workers and other Program Staff to ensure the program meets the needs of clients and achieves service goals.

The Supervisor liaises with program staff, in-school personnel, and community partners, providing clients with comprehensive and effective service.

This position is responsible for program development and implementation, reporting and documentation, budget management, client service, administration, and the supervision of all Program staff, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.


Your Role:

Archway's Supervisor with the Immigrant Youth Service's program contributes by:

  • Providing overall supervision and leadership to program staff, volunteers, and practicum students including recruiting, screening, interviewing and selection, program specific orientation, training, coaching, and performance check-ins and evaluations.
  • Conducting regularly scheduled meetings with staff to provide ongoing support and problem resolution, providing troubleshooting and decision making to address issues.
  • Providing guidance and support to the Youth Team Leader and Youth Workers delivering in
- school and after-school support sessions with a trauma-informed approach, assisting with groups as needed.

  • Working collaboratively with the IYS Team Leader, Youth Workers and other Program staff to plan and schedule events and activities, overseeing the scheduling and intake of program participants and ensuring that health and safety protocols are followed.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with community partners to provide program participants with meaningful and effective activities/events to meet program goals.
  • Managing overall program administration including managing and working with the Program budget, including tracking spending allocations within funder constraints, reporting budgetary data in databases and reports, and prepares and provides invoicing information to Accounting on a regular basis.
  • Preparing and writing funder reports; ensuring contract deliverables are met, as well as quarterly and annual Archway reports, identifying trends, program challenges, and updates on program targets.
  • Maintaining and managing client information ensuring client files are complete, accurate, and kept confidential.

Getting an Interview - you will be considered if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working with newcomer youth.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory position.
  • Knowledge of Sage Intacct, iCare, and Microsoft 365.

The Job Requires you to have:

  • The ability to drive clients (Class 5 driver's license required and satisfactory driver's abstract, reliable vehicle)
  • A high degree of switch tasking ability.
  • Ability to intervene in volatile situations with difficult clients.
  • Ability to work outdoors occasionally.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends for special events.
  • A satisfactory criminal records check is a condition of employment.
