The Senior Manager, Grid Operations and Real Time Systems, is seeking a Supervisor to lead Real Time Systems within the Climate Adaptation and Reliability Team.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and employ systems to combine ATCO Electric's Geospatial, Asset, Outage and Information Systems plus weather, landscape and climate data to assist in reaching real time decisions.
  • Monitor and audit related system data integrity and provide timely feedback to data owners of anomalies.
  • Make recommendations on introducing and leveraging new sets of data, analytics, and technologies.
  • Pursue internal and external support to manage relevant data.
  • Assist in evaluation and selection of technologies/tools pertaining to real time systems.
  • Ensure real time, predictive, easy to interpret tools are available to internal employees to enable informed decisions.
  • Responsible for the implementation of enhancements and process changes as tools evolve.
  • Set team priorities and track progress.
  • Manages and maintains relationships with internal customers.
  • Works with peers across the industry and other utilities to share learnings and best practices.
  • Provide leadership and direction for new initiatives within the group and the organization.
  • Supervise team members and actively engaged in performance management plans, coaching, and succession planning.
  • Provides visible leadership to ensure compliance with the corporate policies and best practices related to Health, Safety and Environment.
  • Collaborate with other ATCO Business Units in related areas to share learnings and create efficiencies where opportunities exist.
  • Supports longrange financial planning for the area of responsibility.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business Management, Commerce, Finance, or other related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience in a role where strong leadership, business acumen, and technical skills (such as computer programming and data science), were required and demonstrated.
  • Proven leadership skills & ability to nurture/coach professionals & other employees.
  • Proven ability to manage and resolve conflict.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills.
  • Strong problemsolving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including explaining technical concepts and decisions to nontechnical audiences.
  • The ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately.
  • Positive work ethic and adaptability to a variety of tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret data and recommend meaningful strategies.
  • Knowledge of ATCO Electric existing systems (Wildfire, Geospatial, OMS, CIS, Maximo) is preferred.
