Midland Transport Limited is currently seeking a
professional
CLASS 1 DRIVER
  • HIGHWAY/Caterpillar Team
- US/CA.

Drivers/teams can be based out of any major city in the Maritimes including, but not limited to Fredericton, Moncton, Halifax, Saint John, Charlottetown.


Main Role:

Manage time and ensure accurate and timely delivery service to our customers. Enthusiastic, great attitude and exceptional customer service skills are a must to join the team.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Offload variable shipment weight and handle freight equipment properly and in a safe manner to avoid any damage.
  • Running Linehaul within the Maritimes (3 trips first week and 2 trips second week), from the Maritimes (Cavendish) to New Jersey (Cavendish) and from York (Caterpillar) in Pennsylvania to Fredericton, NB (Caterpillar).
  • Deliver freight to assigned locations
  • Maintain company equipment standards.
  • Ensure timely delivery.
  • Listen to and communicate efficiently with the customer.
  • Drive, use equipment and work in accordance with the safety regulation: company rules while following safety procedures and traffic laws.
  • Report any incident, accident, injury, damage.

Requirements:


  • Education Required: High School or GED.
  • Class 1 driver's license with a minimum of 2 years' safe tractor reefer driving experience required.
  • Proof of COVID Vaccination required.
  • Familiarity with satellite systems an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a
    team environment

  • Clean driver's abstract and criminal search.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fastpaced environment.

Work Schedule:

Sunday at 1 pm through the week to Friday with 1.5 day off the first week (3 Trips) and 2.5 days off the second week (2 trips).


  • Able to lift to 75 lbs. using the proper equipment.
  • Excellent work ethic and reliability.
  • Safety conscious.
