Description

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:


Tax Compliance and Reporting:

Liaise with internal and external support functions to ensure US federal and state tax returns and other tax filings are completed timely and accurately


This also includes:
Foreign reporting such as 5471, 5472, Base Erosion Anti-Abuse Tax and others.
Ensure timely remittance of required tax payments, withholding taxes, quarterly installments, etc. Manage/review FATCA requirements globally. Manage the US tax compliance budget. Assist with monitoring and reporting changes in US tax law. Manage or assist with US income tax audits at the federal and state level.

Ongoing and Special Projects
Provide ongoing support for other business units, including the communication of US tax issues and risk. Provide support/assist with internal reorganizations to optimize existing and upcoming tax structures as well as other transactions. Recommend, develop, and implement new processes to continually improve tax compliance.


To succeed in this role, you have:5+ years of experience and credentials that reflect a background with progressive US tax exposure (compliance, provisions and research)
CPA designation (US designation preferred, but a Canadian designation is an asset)
Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration, Finance or Equivalent
Knowledge of finance/accounting principles
