Allied is looking for a

Payroll Specialist (contract) to join our Talent team in Toronto for a 3-month contract.

What will you do?:


  • Ensure payroll, benefit and yearend deadlines are met with accuracy.
  • Prepare and submit yearend related documents with all government agencies.
  • Process all yearend reporting for T4's, Relevé 1, etc.
  • Ensure accurate assessment of taxable benefits, reconciliation and remittances.
  • Process workers compensation reconciliation and recording related to yearend.
  • Support the completion of a historical project, transferring payroll data from our previous HRIS (Dayforce) to ADP Workforce Now.
  • Serve as back up for payroll processing.
  • Act as an ambassador of the company's culture and values, ensuring the employee experience is consistent with the Allied brand.

What are we looking for?:


  • 5+ years of work experience in Payroll and Benefits.
  • PCP certification.
  • ADP WFN experience.
  • Yearend reporting experience.
  • Excellent Excel skills (e.g., V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, formulas).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • A demonstrated ability to manage a wide range of relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Would be an asset:_
  • Bilingual (French and English).
  • Quebec processing experience.
