Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and production of breakfast menu items
- Bakes breads, rolls, muffins, pies, pastries, cakes and cookies from scratch
- Prepares batters from scratch, fillings, cuts, and forms dough
- Ensure daily production levels are met
- Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning lists are completed
- Ensure food quality, food safety and service standards are met and maintained daily
- May be required to perform administrative and supervisory tasks in the absence of the Chef
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures by following company Safe Work Practices and Standard Operating Procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 35+ years food service experience as a baker/cook preferably in a remote environment
- Proven experience in a baking role/ability to bake goods from scratch
- Valid Advanced Food Safety (BC FoodSafe level 2) certification is required prior to working
- First Aid Certification is an asset
- Proven leadership, organizational and time management skills in an industrial kitchen environment
- Ability to work within a multicultural and unionized environment
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Salary:
From $25.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Night shift
