Billing Technician position located at our Head Office downtown Montreal or at our office in Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities:
What will your days look like as a Billing Technician in our Maritime Environment:
- Analyze ship and terminal data, and producing accurate and timely invoices for contracted clients;
- Meet billing requirements and adhering to deadlines;
- Review operational documents to ensure accuracy and following up to obtain any missing or incomplete documents;
- Use information systems, including the billing system, inventory system, operations system, and accounting system;
- Prepare monthend adjustments and any required accounting reports;
- Record and updating client rate agreements and records;
- Communicate with operations, sales, and accounting departments to review ship or client records and address any queries;
- Assist in maintaining cost information for ships and clients up to date;
- Assist the operations department in entering and verifying inventory system data.
Qualifications:
To succeed as a Billing Technician, you must have:
- College Diploma in administration, accounting, or equivalent;
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position;
- Understanding of inventory management, goods tracking, and the maritime domain is an asset;
- Proven ability to work in a constantly evolving environment and meet deadlines;
- Proficiency in Excel and strong typing skills are required;
- Must be autonomous and meticulous;
- Excellent organizational skills and analytical ability;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
