Here's What You'll Get to Do

:


  • Supervise the activities of their modality, including staff scheduling and coordination of patient flow
  • Assist Senior Manager as appropriate with identifying and developing strategies to streamline operations and improve programs/services
  • Act as a liaison between the Senior Manager and staff for operational and functional issues
  • Assists in the evaluation of new equipment and completion of capital projects
  • In consultation with the Senior Manager, provides ongoing coaching to support staff performance
  • Promote a positive working climate
  • Actively participates in DIR quality initiatives
  • Investigates Safety Reports and incident reviews in consultation with Senior Manager
  • Responsible for accreditation and regulatory activities within their domain of practice

Here's What You'll Need

:


  • Five (5+) years diagnostic imaging experience in a hospital setting
  • Experience or formal education in leadership
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and leader
  • Excellent problem recognition and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time management and organization skills; ability to organize work and set priorities for self and others
  • Computer literacy, including MS Office products
  • Training in project management or process improvement preferred
  • A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity & inclusion

Education / Memberships

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist program
  • Membership and registration of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) in the appropriate area of responsibility is required
