The Auto Body and Collision Technician Apprentice will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged motor vehicles including but not limited to: performing safety-related functions, using tools and equipment, use of welding equipment, organizing work and documentation, removing and installing vehicle components, surface preparation, applying refinishing materials, detailing, remove and install structural glass, servicing SRS systems, structural repair, and servicing mechanical and electrical systems.
Uses and maintains welding equipment.Removes, repairs and installs plastic and composite panels and components.
Removes and installs mechanical components.
Removes, repairs and installs electrical components.
Enrollment in the Auto Body and Collision Damage Repairer (Technician) Apprenticeship Program (310B) from a respective College or demonstrated relevant work experience.
Auto Body and collision repair experience an asset.Mechanic experience is an asset.
WHMIS and additional environmental health and safety training an asset.
Welding experience an asset.
