Job Title:
OSP Inspector ( Grey County Area)

The OSP Inspector plays a crucial role in the deployment of Outside Plant in designated areas. They are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the FTTH fiber optic network through various tasks such as confirming facility placement, coordinating schedules, monitoring workflow, preparing reports, and interacting with different stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular inspections of fiber optic networks to verify production numbers.
  • Ensure proper restoration and correct facility depths and placement.
  • Record sequential numbers, confirm the installation of pedestals/handholes, and ensure their accurate placement.
  • Provide quality control to ensure compliance with construction/engineering standards.
  • Document job site work thoroughly, update collection maps, and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify and resolve design/construction issues proactively.
  • 35% - 50% travel may be required.

  • Strong attention to detail and passion for accuracy.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills with various stakeholders.
  • Proficient in mobile data collection software and documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to multitask, be adaptable, and build positive relationships.
  • Understanding of outside plant design principles and industry standards.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Field experience in aerial, underground, and/or splicing disciplines preferred.
  • Ability to interpret engineered drawings and technical documents.
  • Knowledge of OSP construction process and possession of Class G Valid Driver's License.
  • Physical fitness for job requirements, including lifting, carrying, and climbing.
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and travel.
  • Ability to traverse and inspect job sites in different weather conditions.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet business needs.
