    Business Information: Our resort is located in a picturesque rural community on the shores of the Northumberland Strait in Cumberland County of Nova Scotia. The resort offers guest accommodation, on-site golf, a full-service Spa, sport shooting, and dining.

    Job Description:

    • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a restaurant, bar, cafeteria or other food or beverage service
    • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
    • Recruit staff and oversee staff training
    • Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance
    • Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices
    • Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
    • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
    • Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering or use of facilities for banquets or receptions

    Requirements:

    Education: Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management or a minimum of one years' experience in a food and beverage supervisory role.

    Experience: Responsible beverage service certification required. Experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, are required.

    Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Tight deadlines, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling

    Personal suitability: Reliability, Organized, Team player, Dependability

    Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Indoors

    Language: English is required

    Salary: $22.00 hourly, 40.00 hours per week.
