Quality Control Inspector - Mississauga, Canada - Lakeside Process Controls Ltd.

What you will be doing in the role of Quality Control Inspector:
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Primary resource to identify and resolve quality related problems (product issues, process issues, etc.)
- Required to assist in outgoing materials with regards to labeling, tagging, sorting and repacking
- Assist in identifying and resolving document discrepancies related to quality
- Ensure that incoming and outgoing products and materials are of acceptable quality and in accordance with the purchase order specifications.
- Conduct inspections required externally with Emerson, Fisher, Rosemount, and with specific customer requirements.
- Ability to perform customer documentation review such as customer line terms and project specifications.
- Conduct inspections required for quality assurance documentation review (WI's and SOP's) internally with Lakeside Process Controls.
- Perform gap analysis in quality documentation, followed by corrective actions to ensure quality meets company standards.
- Able to travel to Emerson and customer facilities.
- Continually strive to improve inspection effectiveness and efficiency by identifying and supporting implementation of process improvements
- Review MTE certificates and maintain the MTE master control list and software
Knowledge and skills required for the role:
- College Diploma in Technology or equivalent
- Three to five (35) years of experience in quality related programs, specifically ISO 9001 and Z299 standards
- Experience with QA welding inspections
- Knowledge of documentation requirements for products and customer requirements
- Knowledge of identification of counterfeit, fraudulent and substandard product
- Working knowledge of CSA Z299 requirements with respect to inspection and documentation as required.
- Working knowledge of ISO 900
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent computer knowledge
- High levels of accuracy and detail oriented
- Customer oriented
- Ability to work in warehouse environment and able to lift up to 25 lbs. with mínimal assistance
