Position Overview:
Sales to National and Second Tier Accounts

National Accounts include Jeld-Wen, Lowes, Rona, The Home Depot, national co-ops and buying groups. Second Tier accounts include Regional Window and Door companies in Ontario. Promotes and educates customers of Company's diverse product line. Grows sales throughout the market by adding to current customer base. Promotes indirect and direct sales to home centres and buying groups. Responsible for managing all sales, service, and program activities for National and Second Tier accounts.

Manages time and territory in a professional manner; resulting in sales dollar volumes that satisfy projected market growth and sales goals on a short and long-term basis.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Develops and executes sales plan. Implements sales plan to maximize sales results, through efficient management of time and territory. Frequent daily travel, which may involve overnight accommodations. Performs other duties as necessary.
  • Identifies, develops and closes prospects.
  • Identifies existing customer volume potential in each product category, formulates tactics to capture additional share.
  • Plans, organizes, and leads creative customer presentations to achieve incremental opportunities in line reviews at major home improvement retailers.
  • Determines and communicates product support needs required to achieve objectives.
  • Analyzes market and provides information regarding competitor products.
  • Develops and conducts on going product knowledge and sales training meetings with customers
  • Develops and maintains close working relationship with customers and indirect customers.
  • Supports local and regional shows.
  • Actively engage with promotional activity to deliver maximum sales and profits.
  • Provide solutions that add value and pull higher margin products into the channel.
  • Effective internal and external communications regarding customers, products and services.
  • May be responsible for managing and leading manufacturer's agents, where applicable.
  • Bachelor's degree with six years of sales experience
  • Two years of sales experience with National Accounts
  • Knowledge of the Window and Door channel required.
  • Ability to work out of the home and travel daily
  • Demonstrated ability to grow sales with a proven track record of sales growth.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to think and work corporately as well as divisionally
  • Experience in developing and executing large, complex selling proposals that may have long selling cycles
  • Strong bias for a solutionoriented sales approach.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish operating, scheduling and travel patterns that maximize productive time with customers.
  • Valid passport with ability to travel to the USA.
  • Bilingual (English/French) an asset.
