What You Will Do:

In this unionized position of Customer Care Representative, you will play an essential role within our work group.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:


  • Communicating with customers;
  • Reviewing and explaining bill corrections and/or amendments;
  • Meeting and maintaining call quality and call answer standards;
  • Reviewing accounts for overdue payments and/or broken installment plans;
  • Negotiating installment plans;
  • Locating and assigning emergency service orders to appropriate field staff and
  • Providing after hour on call coverage between October 31 and April 15.

What You Will Bring:


Required qualifications:

  • Business related Certificate;
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a call centre/telephone customer service environment inclusive of specific call centre agent or customer service training;
  • Experience utilizing a work management software program (Example: Maximo);
  • Beginner knowledge of Geo Mapping Software (Example: ESRI);
  • Intermediate MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint); and
  • Advanced knowledge of Customer Information Systems.

Preferred skills and qualifications:

  • Strong keyboarding skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to deal effectively in emergency situations;
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a highpressure environment;
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work as a positive and contributing member in a team environment; and
  • General knowledge of the utility industry.
