Planning Specialist - Delta, Canada - Rubicon Organics Inc.

The role will be reporting into our Planning Manager. This is an opportunity to start your career in a high growth and fast paced multinational company.Responsibilities:
- Creates and maintains accurate production planning schedules according to demand goals
- Inputs and maintains accurate data in the production planning schedule throughout the entire process, while flagging issues to key stakeholders throughout the process (PO receipt to Customer received)
- In cooperation with the Inventory function, ensures that both packaging waste and biomass wastage are fully reconciled and categorized with root causes and corrective actions in place;
- In cooperation with the Warehousing function, ensures that each production order is covered by sufficient packaging materials and stamps;
- Provides data analysis and insights for our Planning Manager;
- Creates product allocations based on orders and inventory levels;
- Prepares job orders in timely manner for Supply Planner review
- Prepares inventory reconciliations at production run level for Inventory Specialist review
- Participate in the cyclecounting program and offer improvements as necessary
- Flags issues that prevents us from delivering goods in full / on time / with no documentation errors

- Be the sustainability champions for the packaging department and the cannabis sector
- Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities, work in a highpressure environment and deliver highquality product under tight timelines
- Team player that truly believes they are successful when the organization is successful
- Troubleshoot reoccurring/chronic process problems
Requirements:
Passion and interest for a high pace / high growth start-up environment
- 1+ years previous work experience within a Supply Chain Planning function. Knowledge of production planning, capacity planning and inventory management
- Expert knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel)
- Knows how to achieve high quality results and drive deliverables from cross functional partners
- Previous cannabis or Liquor experience an advantage.
