Description

We are looking for a
Maintenance Technician to join our team in
FreshPoint Vancouver.

The Maintenance Technician will work with the Maintenance department on the general maintenance of the warehouse facility and equipment, assist in coordination of third party contractors, assist in the management and repair of the warehouse fleet, ensure maintenance records are up to date and more.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair warehouse equipment including forklift, pallet jack and other power equipment
Conduct minor facility repairs including basic carpentry, drywall patching and sanding, fixture repair and installation when required
Attend to minor plumbing repairs including but not limited to drain clogs and washroom maintenance
Complete preventative maintenance routines, schedule regular cleaning and safety audits, and ensure proper documentation where required
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
Assist in management and tracking of department inventory
Dismantle, install or build machinery or equipment
Work cross functionally with internal teams on minor facility and property improvements
Work in close collaboration with management and assist in coordination of third party contractor service repairs
General facility maintenance including painting and power washing when required
Assist in fleet maintenance and conduct repairs when required
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

Minimum 3 years' experience in facility maintenance
Previous experience in instrumentation, mechanical, plumbing or electrical trades considered an asset
Forklift certification considered an asset
Effective communication skills and ability to converse with all levels of the organization
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
Excellent time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities
High attention to detail and focus required
Lifting of up to 50+ lbs or more
May be required to work in cooler temperatures from timetotime
Mainly working indoors in a warehouse environment but may be required to work outdoors with varying temperatures and working conditions

Location: 1020 Malkin Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6A 3S9. Accessible to multiple bus lines.

Full-time:Monday to Friday (8:30am - 5pm)
