Main Duties

This position mitigates risk, and contributes to SIGA's reputation for organizational excellence, by organizing, coordinating and supervising the Finance Department.


Responsibilities include:
Managing Casino Finance operations with strong emphasis on accuracy and accountability. Carrying out a wide variety of reconciliation, auditing, and reporting functions. Consulting with Central Office Finance, Operations, and Casino Management to lead the annual Casino budgeting processes. Providing expertise and guidance on a wide variety of financial, budgetary, regulatory, systems and compliance issues. Maintaining processes relating to procurement, inventory and asset management. Managing Casino accounts receivable.

Supervising Finance Department staff and Receiver, promoting good relationships and ensuring they have the knowledge and tools they need to succeed.

Handling a wide variety of administrative tasks relating to overall Casino operations. Modeling SIGA's values, and presenting a positive image of SIGA in the community.

Participating in other projects and activities as required, to ensure that all movement of cash (or equivalent) at the Casino is accounted for and verified.


Conditions of Employment

  • The minimum age to work in a casino or any area where gaming can be seen is 19 years of age.
  • Must possess valid Saskatchewan Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
  • Some SIGA locations operate in a high sensory environment. You may be required to work in an environment where you will be exposed to tobacco smoke, high noise levels, flashing and blinking lights, and a congested workplace. SIGA adheres to all occupational health and safety regulations and makes every effort to limit the adverse effects of these elements.

  • Compliance with all regulatory requirements as may be applicable to your position including but not limited to both SLGA requirements and the Anti-Money Laundering requirements set out in the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act and regulations and policies made thereunder by Canada and FINTRAC.

Job Requirements:

Education**- Successful completion of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce or other related discipline with a major in Finance or Accounting.


  • Several years of related experience and training maybe considered.

Experience

  • Minimum of five years' previous related working experience in finance or accounting, auditing and ability to communicate complex financial information to nonfinancial managers.
  • Minimum of three years' of people management experience, including conflict resolution.
