We are responsible for all aspects of the vehicle logistics process including, truck and rail transportation, port processing, vehicle processing and shipping vehicles to the dealerships networks.


1)

Level:
Entry Level ( Logistics Operation experience for 1-2 years)


2) Position Summary
This position will be responsible for supporting, planning, organizing, evaluating and reporting all activities associated to Vehicle Distribution. Tasks include daily monitoring, analyzing relevant data, formulating reports, supporting with selecting and managing carriers, and report relevant KPIs


3) Essential job responsibilities

  • Monitor industry standards, trends, or practices to identify developments in logistics planning or execution.
  • Enter logisticsrelated data into databases.
  • Contact carriers for rates or schedules.
  • Track product flow from origin to final delivery.
  • Recommend improvements to existing or planned logistics processes.
  • Prepare reports on logistics performance measures.
  • Maintain databases of logistics information.
  • Maintain logistics records in accordance with corporate policies.
  • Develop or maintain freight rate databases for use by supply chain departments to determine the most economical modes of transportation.
  • Communicate with or monitor service providers
  • Review procedures, such as distribution or inventory management, to ensure maximum efficiency or minimum cost.
  • Monitor inventory transactions at facilities to assess receiving, storage, shipping, or inventory integrity.
  • Develop or maintain models for logistics uses, such as cost estimating or demand forecasting.
  • Confer with logistics management teams to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supplychain efficiency, or minimize cost.
  • Interpret data on logistics elements, such as availability, maintainability, reliability, supply chain management, strategic sourcing or distribution, supplier management, or transportation. Reorganize shipping schedules to consolidate loads, maximize vehicle usage, or limit the movement of vehicles

4) Preferred Requirements:

Experience: 1 to 2 years' experience in Logistics Operations and Transportation

Education:
Completion of University or College program with Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics major preferred.


Skills & knowledge:

Advanced PC skills:
Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and database management required.


  • Time management and strong attention to details is crucial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills preferred
  • Ability to logically and systematically work through problems
  • Must possess necessary interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with different departments along with current customers

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

From $43,000.00 per year
