Description

Sturgeon Public School Division is currently seeking a qualified full-time Educational Assistant 2, for a work assignment at our Landing Trail School.

FTE: 1.0 FTE; 6.5 hrs/day; Full-Time Temporary

Initial Assignment:
Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Educational Assistant will work in an elementary classroom.

Qualifications & Experience:

Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma or Certificate is required; experience working with behaviours is an asset; CPR and First Aid are desirable.

Preference given to applicants with experience and training with Autism, Behaviors and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training. Experience with Trauma Informed practice is an asset. Equivalencies that consist of a combination of education, knowledge, skills and abilities to formal education requirements may be considered.

Hourly Rate:
$ $23.57 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
