Job Summary

Under general supervision of the VFX Supervisor, the FX Supervisor reviews concept art, storyboards, and rough animation to plan, bid and execute the simulations and special effects needed for a project.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Degree/diploma in fine arts or animation or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years' production experience in film or television effects.
Thorough knowledge of 3D effects and simulation techniques.
Excellent knowledge of Houdini and Maya required.
Compositing experience is a big plus.
Experience programming Python is required.
Project Management proven ability in managing projects from concept to completion. Able to prioritize appropriately and always meet deadlines.
Excellent Teamwork ability to assemble and motivate teams and work effectively with others.
Superb Written & Verbal Communication
Ability to interact with and integrate requests of directors, broadcasters, executives, clients, and team members in a collaborative way.
Vision ability to envision and communicate clear and consistent goals and needs for projects, individuals, and the FX team.
Organization demonstrated organizational skills including a keen attention to detail.
Strong problemsolving skills.
Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
