Description
We are seeking a Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our team in Winnipeg, MB.


As a member of the Finance Department Team, the Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible to provide accurate, timely and relevant information to internal and external stakeholders of the Company, from which they are able to make informed decisions and to safeguard intangible and tangible assets.


The Accounts Payable Coordinator will:


  • Processing of invoices and expense reports:
  • Reviewing invoices/expense reports and contacting vendors/employees for any discrepancies
  • Ensuring that all related invoices/expenses are accurately entered to Sage, considering the correct expense codes, the cost center and invoice/expense details
  • Securing approval prior to processing of invoices/expenses to Sage
  • Processing intercompany invoices with the proper allocation
  • Scanning invoices related to fixed assets, prepaid and various professional fees
  • Maintaining a systematic file system for easy retrieval
  • Payment processing:
  • Creating payment entries on invoices and expenses due for payment
  • Ensuring all invoices and expenses has proper approvals prior to check printing
  • Reviewing the printed checks to ensure that details correspond with the invoices/expenses
  • Responsible on the distribution of checks once signed
  • Ensure that all monthend related duties are done on a timely manner.
  • Assisting in doing journal entries in the reallocation and reclassification of cost
  • Providing supporting documents to analysts as required from time to time.

To be successful
as a Accounts Payable Coordinator
with People Corporation, you will need:

  • A diploma in a related field
  • Experience in a similar financerelated role is an asset
**- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with different levels of management and staff

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Handson, detail oriented, and can effectively prioritize tasks and manage deliverables in a fastpaced and deadlinedriven environment
  • Highly selfdirected with the ability to take initiative
