Project Manager and Commercial Sector Rep Q6 )Description
Your Opportunity
This position will require periodic travel within British Columbia to Stantec offices within the province, in addition to client offices as required to execute the sector growth strategy.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Maintain client outreach (internally & externally)
- Conduct market research
- Lead and coordinate proposal development, proposal debriefs, backlog tracking, and client surveys
- Hosting client events (i.e., training seminars)
- Attending industry events, such as conferences and/or tradeshows
- Assisting BCPLs with business plans and work with the leadership team to Achieve key performance indicators
- Contribute to the development and execution of the national business strategy for Environmental Services, with accountability for British Columbia regionspecific strategies and priorities
- Lead growth in revenue and document progress through the use of action registers, financial progress reporting, among other metrics
- Assist leadership with the training and mentorship of junior and intermediate staff to respond to proposal requests, dealing with clients, project scoping and other business development initiatives
- Engage in technical project work within your scope of technical expertise as required to support the project execution teams
- Manage Commercial Sector projects
The proportion of time spent on technical project work will be variable, based on project backlogs, skill alignment, and ongoing discussion with the BCPL.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Solid understanding of the British Columbia environmental services market
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills
- Proven business development skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Developed Expression of Interests
- Experienced with Statement of Qualifications and other mechanisms of client outreach
Education and Experience
- University degree with at least 8 years of professional experience.
- Experience in building and maintaining productive relationships with a client base.
- Experience in managing environmental projects delivered to the Commercial Sector.
- Involvement with responding to Requests for Proposals.
