Join the Island Gold District team and be a part of the long-life mining operations as we prioritize our employee growth high performance and a culture of safety accountability.The industrial mechanic will ensure industrial machinery operate safely efficiently through maintenance repair troubleshooting activities perform all repairs preventative maintenance in strict accordance with MSHA safety standards internal workplace protocols maintain shop cleanliness prevent slips trips falls ensure proper disposal hazardous fluids materials identify potential hazards before they lead incidents report safety concerns near misses equipment defects supervisor immediately install align relocate stationary industrial machinery pumps fans conveyors Mine Hoist rock-breakers compressors execute maintenance requests inspections stationary equipment Underground Surface assist mobile mechanics large fleet repairs create work orders source parts maintain records CMMS ensure compliance OH&S standards machine guarding lockout/tagout perform other duties assigned stay current evolving mining technologies rotate shifts days only bunkhouse kitchen access travel allowance provided depending location
Required: completion secondary school Red Seal Millwright Industrial Mechanic journeyperson ticket ability read interpret schematics blueprints manuals basic underground common core modules minimum three years experience industrial mechanic lift up to lbs regularly work confined spaces demanding underground conditions flexible travel nights weekends rotating shifts supply own tools strong diagnostic logical problem-solving skills stay current evolving mining technologies.
