Why This Role is Important:

We do this through simplification may it be through frontend customer experience to backend monitoring to help get to the root cause faster. Every day brings a different challenge therefore you will directly help the Credit Risk Acquisition team with our mission to help Canadians Live Life Well.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform reporting and analysis on portfolio segments and respective credit risk strategies
  • In conjunction with other analysts, recommend improvements and quantify the benefits of existing strategies (e.g. credit limit increases)
  • In conjunction with other analysts, validate changes to the credit risk systems
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross functional teams to achieve objectives

What You'll Need:

  • Minimum 8 months of experience in data analysis / financial modeling / data mining role (or equivalent courses)
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, with attention to detail and personal accountability to ensure accuracy of produced results
  • Ability to successfully communicate complex problems verbally and written
  • Ability to prioritize and independently execute assigned work.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, macros, data model)
  • Educational background in business, mathematics, computer science or finance preferred
  • Demonstrated experience working with a statistical programming language is preferred (e.g. Python, SAS, R)
