Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
Perform laboratory tests and procedures, such as blood work and urinalysis
Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
Take and develop xrays of animals
Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures
Clean and maintain veterinary equipment and instruments
Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration

Skills:

Proficient in laboratory procedures, including blood work and urinalysis
Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures
Ability to administer medications and treatments accurately
Experience with surgical preparation and assistance
Familiarity with xray equipment and techniques
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Toronto, ON M9N 1Z7:
reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- veterinary technician: 1 year (required)
