- The Accounting Assistant is responsible for providing accounting support to accounting managers and other managers within the Finance department._
- Regular business hours Monday to Friday

What you will do:
- Maintains accounting records by making copies; filing documents
- Reconciles balance sheet accounts;
- Works with Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable/ Operations to have supporting documentation for journal entries;
- Responds to inquiries and concerns from Branch and Regional Office personnel;
- Works with internal and external auditors to provide documentation and explanation;
- Retrieves system reports;
- Performs related work as required;
- Any adhoc requests as required.
What you will bring:
- Post-Secondary education in an Accounting/Finance program
- Preferred completion or working toward a recognized accounting designation
- Strong analytical skills required with the ability to perform complex account reconciliations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated initiative and strong time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Must be a team player with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Bilingual French/ English an asset.
