Crane/Forklift Operator.

  • Must be able to lift comfortably up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities:


  • Work in a fastpaced environment with the ability to adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
  • Perform preoperational inspections.
  • Safely assess workplace hazards to determine a safe path to transport loads, ensuring all workers are aware of cranes approaching.
  • Follow the detailed inventory list to prepare production lines.
  • Organize and maintain inventory using the first in first out inventory method.
  • Operate remote control overhead crane safely, and efficiently.
  • Using an overhead crane to move steel products in and around the warehouse, on/off trucks. o Loads up to 22 tons lbs.)
  • Prepare and package steel parts for both production and distribution.
  • Use of ERP system (Steel Plus)
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other team members.
  • Perform general warehouse duties where required and as instructed.
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience is preferred but not a necessity. o Training is provided inhouse.

Requirements:


  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Applicants must have steeltoe boots
  • Have a valid forklift license (preferred)
  • Able to read orders and complete basic paperwork
