YOUR ROLE:

As a buyer, your mission will be to manage a portfolio of suppliers, negotiating and ordering raw materials according to production planning (PDP).

You will also have the opportunity to participate in and contribute to the process of developing new products and engineering changes for the purchasing sector.


  • Purchase raw materials from established suppliers;
  • Monitor purchases to ensure the right product, at the right time, and in the right quantity;
  • Regularly monitor prices;
  • Participate in largescale product development projects in a multidisciplinary team;
  • Verify and approve invoices that do not match our purchase orders (price, quantity, product) and request credits as needed;
  • Handle returns of defective products to suppliers (RTV);
  • Manage transportation and customs related to purchases;
  • Meet with suppliers to discuss collaboration opportunities;
  • Identify and suggest suppliers, ensuring, when required, that products are approved (CSA and UL);
  • Conduct tenders or negotiations with current or potential suppliers;
  • Plan needs, order, and follow up with subcontractors;
  • Work closely with the planning department and all others;
  • Work on continuous improvement projects (raw materials);
  • Write reports;
  • Keep the ERP system up to date.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for passionate individuals eager to make a difference in an innovative environment.

  • Relevant experience of 3 to 6 years in the purchasing field and experience in a manufacturing environment;
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BAA) or certificate in operations management or related field or equivalent experience;
  • Knowledge of Min/Max environment;
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite;
  • Knowledge of ISO standards;
  • Communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills;
  • Advanced bilingualism in French and English (frequent communication with Englishspeaking suppliers);
  • Rigor, organizational skills, and attention to detail;
  • Autonomy;
  • Analytical mindset;
  • Enjoy working in a team.
