Duties

Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine the specifications and layout of brick structures;
Measure and mark surfaces to be covered with bricks, using chalk lines, plumb bobs, or levels;
Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto a slab or foundation;
Lay bricks or other masonry units to build walls, arches, chimneys, or other structures;
Cut or shape bricks, stones, or blocks using hand tools or power tools;
Clean excess mortar from finished surfaces and polish them with sponges or trowels;
Repair or replace damaged bricks or other masonry units;

Skills:

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans;
Strong knowledge of different types of bricks, stones, and other masonry materials;
Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively and safely;
Excellent attention to detail and precision in bricklaying techniques;
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions;
Good problem

- solving skills to troubleshooting issues with brick structures;

Salary:
$42.00 an hour working 40 hours a week
