The Youth Pastor plays a vital role within COG-MJ?s Youth Ministry team, guiding junior high and senior high school students.

• Alignment with the Church of God Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct, demonstrating integrity and character.
• Active membership in an evangelical church for at least one year.
• Credentialed with the Church of God or willingness to pursue credentialing.
• Prior leadership involvement in youth events and retreats, ideally within a church ministry setting.
• Proficiency in event planning and organization.
• Proficient in utilizing technology and social media platforms.
• Evident, stable, and maturing Christian faith.

Collaborate regularly with the Pastor of Next Gen Ministries to develop programming that facilitates a smooth transition from children's ministry to youth ministry.

• Build, oversee, and disciple a team of youth leader volunteers, ensuring personalized care and discipleship for youth.
• Lead weekly gatherings for junior and senior youth, fostering growth in faith through bible study, worship, and prayer.
• Engage with parents as essential partners in the youth ministry.
• Provide technical support for media ministry in collaboration with the Media Director.
• Assist the Worship Pastor in supporting weekend services as part of the worship team.
• Identify and nurture giftings in youth, facilitating connections with ministry leaders to foster a culture of service within the church community.
