    Position Summary :

    The Revit Designer will report directly to the Drafting Manager and is responsible for creation of BIM objects, 3D assets, and templates within Revit. They will also be preparing production / installation drawings and bills of materials using these newly developed assets. The designer will eventually be responsible for the creation and development of models and renders through a multitude of software such as Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, Lumien, and Twinmotion.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Creation of BIM objects, standardized 3D assets, and templates.
    • Development of drafting standards within Revit space.
    • Prepare Revit shop drawings & bills of material for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings including metal wall/roof cladding, architectural wall/roof panels, and floor/roof decking using client supplied models as a base.
    • Render objects, assemblies & structures within virtual reality software for creation of high-quality presentations and visualizations.
    • Ensures compliance with approved design standards and engineering principles.
    • Clearly communicates and collaborates with project managers, engineers, supervisors, and peers.

    Qualifications:

    • Post-Secondary education in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or related field.
    • Experience in developing standards, templates, BIM objects, and families within Revit.
    • Highly proficient with Revit software and a basic understanding of AutoCAD.
    • Experience in SketchUp, Enscape, Lumien, and Twinmotion is considered an asset.
    • Basic understanding of construction principles and practices is considered an asset.
    • French is considered an asset.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Open to consider diverse levels of experience.
