    Summary
    Reporting to the Manager - Facilities,the CAD Designer (Co-Op) is responsible for reviewing and updating the electrical and/or mechanical designs of our manufacturing facility.

    Work Term: Fall 2024 (Sept-Dec)

    Work Arrangement: Hybrid (On-site 4 days per week)

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review and update plant layout documents/drawings using AutoCAD
  • Ensure that all drawings are in accordance with S&C's design standards
  • Ensure backup of all CAD designs
  • Perform data entry to set up and maintain parts storage in our facilities software system
  • Assist the Project Coordinator and ensure that capital budget projects are following project timelines
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives for S&C's drawing process
  • Other related duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in an Engineering (Diploma/Degree) co-op program (electrical, mechanical or civil)
  • Available and eligible for a4 month Co-op Term (Fall 2024)
  • Completed coursework and experience using AutoCAD
  • Positive, flexible team‐oriented approach, with the willingness and desire to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Self‐motivated with the ability to take initiative
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
