Training Consultant


Position Overview:

As a Training Consultant with Pür & Simple, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful onboarding and training of new employees for upcoming restaurant openings.

You will work closely with the Director of Training and Senior Training Manager, and various departments to develop and implement training programs that equip team members with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Your passion for teaching, strong communication skills, and commitment to operational excellence will contribute to the success of our new locations.


Key Responsibilities:


1.


Training Program Development:


  • Collaborate with the Director of Training, Training Manager(s), and crossfunctional teams to design comprehensive training programs for all job roles, including frontofhouse, kitchen, and support service staff.
  • Develop training materials, resources, and presentations that effectively convey operational procedures, brand values, and guest service expectations.

Onboarding and Orientation:


  • Coordinate and lead new employee onboarding and orientation sessions, ensuring they understand the company culture, policies, and operational standards.
  • Facilitate introductions to company values, history, and team dynamics.

Job-Specific Training:


  • Deliver training sessions tailored to specific job roles, covering tasks, responsibilities, and best practices related to food preparation, hospitality, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Provide handson training and coaching to ensure practical understanding of tasks.

Guest Experience Enhancement:


  • Emphasize the importance of delivering exceptional guest experiences, and guiding trainees on effective communication, problemsolving, and guest interaction.
  • Incorporate scenarios and roleplaying exercises to simulate realworld situations.

5.


Equipment and Systems Familiarity:


  • Train new employees on the proper use of equipment, tools, and technology systems relevant to their roles.
  • Ensure trainees are comfortable with pointofsale (POS) systems, kitchen equipment, and safety protocols.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:


  • Educate employees on health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and company policies.
  • Monitor trainee performance to ensure adherence to standards and provide corrective feedback when necessary.

Continuous Improvement:


  • Gather feedback from trainees, managers, Franchise Partners, and other stakeholders to continuously improve training materials and programs.
  • Identify areas for enhancement and adapt training approaches based on outcomes.

Collaboration and Reporting:


  • Collaborate with the Training Manager(s), and Director of Training and operations teams to ensure alignment of training programs with preopening and postopening plans.
  • Provide regular training progress reports to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in restaurant training roles, including involvement in new store openings.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in creating training materials, including slide decks, manuals, and handson exercises.
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food preparation, customer service, and health and safety practices.
  • Ability to adapt training approaches for various learning styles and backgrounds.

Salary:
$65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
