This is a specialized entry level position focusing on Human Resources generalist activities. Guidance will be provided for day-to-day work. Will perform HR duties as required with direct coaching provided. Assignments provided to begin the development of technical/functional knowledge and analytic skills. Emphasis on the introduction to, and gaining familiarity of, existing practices and procedures within clearly established processes. This is a temporary 6-month term.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • General knowledge of Human Resources programs and processes such as Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Management and Development.
  • Exposure to HR information systems will be an asset
  • Undergraduate Degree and 02 years of equivalent experience
  • Exposure to Oil & Gas
  • Workday and Excel will be an asset

Responsibilities:


  • Position is provided specific direction on assignments
  • Work under guidance/direction of a more senior specialist
  • Position is focused on gaining exposure to technical/functional processes
  • Supports the delivery of a specialized Human Resources service or program
  • Provide analytical support where the issues are in a specialized area and have clear precent
  • Provide timely and accurate information to employees and managers on program basics
  • Participates in a special project requiring analytical skills
  • May be responsible for delivery of a small process, may support more senior advisors in the delivery of more complex programs and processes
  • Focus will be on operational issues where clear guidelines exist
  • Issues without clear precedent will be referred to supervisorLocation and other Key Details:
  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at th Ave S.W.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
