Early Childhood Educator (Casual)
  • Richmond, BC

Starting wage $25.95-$26.83 per hour (plus an additional $4 per hour from

Government wage enhancement program).

YOUR IMPACT:


  • Supervise children and ensure equipment and physical environment is free of
- health and safety hazards.
  • Encourage independence, problem solving skills, and active learning to build
- self-esteem in an inclusive and respectful environment.
  • Demonstrate positive adult/child interaction using effective and appropriate
- communication with children.

YOUR CAPABILITIES:

  • Early Childhood Education Certificate with a minimum of one years' experience
working with children and families and children, including children with special
needs.

  • Post Basic Specials Needs certification and experience working with children
with additional support needs an asset.

  • Strong written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to deliver inclusive programming with a
sensitivity to people from diverse cultural, health and socioeconomic
backgrounds.

  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Clear, current Criminal Records Check.
