Summary:


Partnering with Director, Marketing to develop and implement an integrated marketing and communications plan that tells the Company's news and brand story across multiple channels.

This role is an opportunity for a bilingual expert to use their professionalism and experience to contribute to the story of Canderel; both internal and external.


Responsibilities:


  • Supporting all employee marketing & communication initiatives in English and French, from concept through to execution and detailed production, using a structured communication planning approach to ensure objectives and outcomes are clearly defined and met;
  • Developing and supervising communications strategies for Canderel;
  • Developing a strong understanding of local projects, the company's brand, client needs, key differentiators, and market trends;
  • Developing and managing communication initiatives involving news releases, social media outreach, content marketing, research, interviews, media training and spokesperson support, media monitoring and tracking, and other support on special projects and events;
  • Working with internal clients, stakeholders and leadership to ensure PR engagements are strategic and contribute to Canderel's operations;
  • Managing communications for internal events, such as Town Hall Meetings, company announcements and other employee initiatives;
  • Managing the internal brand assets while ensuring it is coherent with the overall Canderel branding;
  • Helping to drive and support our thought leadership program, both through strategic planning and content development;
  • Overseeing media outreach and preparing practice leadership by developing briefing documents; identifying opportunities and issues; and developing relevant remarks, speeches, and talking points for them;
  • Developing and curating engaging content for social media platforms;
  • Providing social media and communications training for internal groups.

Qualifications & Competencies:


  • Bilingual in French & English is required for this role; English is required for this position given the national scope of the role and the tasks to be performed.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, English, journalism, or marketing;
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of corporate communications and/or public relations experience;
  • Exceptional communicator (written & verbal) who can guide others, stylistically;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize work, manage deliverables and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fastpaced environment;
  • Professional and calm workstyle, always exercising discretion and confidentiality;
  • Ability to work autonomously must be a selfstarter who is comfortable taking initiative;
  • Strong attention to detail while juggling competing and changing priorities;
  • Able to recognize opportunities for continuous improvement and comfortable to share ideas;
  • Advanced MS Office skills;
  • Fundamental understanding of the media landscape (traditional and digital);
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility with multiple audiences;
  • Familiarity with automation and CRM platforms such as mailchimp and MS Dynamics.
